Carla Askew
M.A. CCC-SLP
Carla is a speech-pathologist and partner of RLLC. She earned a Master’s degree in Communication Science and Disorders from the University of Pittsburgh. She has been providing evaluations and remediation services for individuals with a variety of communication disorders since 1993.
She is fully licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as well as DC. She is a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and the International Dyslexia Association (IDA). She holds a certification as a Structured Literacy Teacher from the Center for Effective Reading Instruction since 2018.
Carla is married with two teenage daughters and two family dogs, Morris and Chestnut. She is an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan! Carla likes to stay active outside of work, whether it is making time for yoga 6-7 days a week, biking with her family on the weekends or hitting the ski slopes in the winter.
