Monica Fine

Monica is a recent graduate from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science in communication sciences and disorders, and a minor in special education. She is currently in her graduate program at The University of South Carolina’s DE Masters of Science in communication sciences and disorders. She and her husband have 5 children ranging in age from kindergarten to college age, 2 of whom are on the autism spectrum. Advocating for her children’s needs is what sparked her passion for speech pathology and the right to respectful communication for all. She originally grew up in Idaho, but joined the Navy after high school, and has since moved around the world a few times with her husband of almost 26 years. They have now settled in the northern Virginia area. When she has free time, she enjoys musical theatre, the arts, reading historical fiction, and listening to music of all genres.
