Anita Kelly
M.S. Ed, Dyslexia Therapist

Anita holds a Master’s degree in Education with a focus in Teaching and a Multi-Sensory Therapy specialization from Dallas Baptist University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English with a focus in Education from the University of Texas Austin.  She also attended Columbia University’s Teachers College Reading and Writing Project in New York City to further her own professional skills and knowledge of various teaching and learning approaches for various learning modalities. Additionally, Anita has over a decade of experience providing Academic Therapy services to students ranging from elementary to high school,  and simultaneously creating and developing curriculum programs for the acquisition and development of literacy, language, reading and writing within Texas and Virginia schools.

She is fully licensed as an educator in both the Commonwealth of Virginia and the State of Texas, and has over eight years of experience as an Academic Therapist. She also holds various certificates from the Shelton Multisensory Structured Language Approach.

Anita is passionate about her students and providing therapy services to students diagnosed with dyslexia and dysgraphia, as well as students exhibiting attention deficit disorders and social-emotional needs.  She is equally committed to her own love of learning in continuing to create and implement the most impactful and evidence-based methods that will ensure the continued growth and success of all students regardless of their age and educational background.

Anita enjoys spending time with her son, setting aside quiet time to write and reflect, hosting book club with her girlfriends, cooking and baking for family and friends, and building relationships with other moms in her community!

Favorite food categories include tacos, hot sauce, and anything chocolate chip flavored!

Hobbies include daydreaming about getting a Boykin puppy in the near future and planning outdoor adventures for her family!
