Jennifer holds a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Virginia. Her Bachelor’s Degree is also from the University of Virginia in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Jen has experience evaluating and treating language disorders across the lifespan. She has serviced children in schools from Pre-K through high school in both private and public education settings. Additionally, she has worked with adults on cognitive and memory skills in a rehabilitation setting. Jen has a unique specialized experience using multi-sensory instruction to treat reading disorders. She also services children with articulation, phonological, and fluency disorders.
Jen holds dual licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as well as the District of Columbia. She is a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
Jen is PADI Open Water Scuba certified. Prior to joining RLLC, she completed a Dolphin Assisted Therapy internship at Island Dolphin Care in Key Largo, FL where she worked with children and adults with a variety of physical, cognitive and emotional needs. In her free time, Jen loves being outdoors hiking and camping. She is currently working toward her 200 hour Yoga teaching certification. She hopes to incorporate Yoga approaches into her therapeutic practice, helping children develop growth mindset attitudes toward self and others.
