The Reading and Language Learning Center is open for appointments from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Evening hours are available for individual treatment at a slightly higher fee.

What to Expect at Your First Consultation

In an initial consultation with one of our Speech-Language Pathologists, strengths and weaknesses are identified. A written diagnosis and treatment plan are provided. Evaluations take approximately 2-4 hours and a full written report is provided. Recommendations are given for the type and frequency of the treatment.

Cancellation of Appointments

The Reading and Language Learning Center requires 24 hours advance notification of a cancellation or change in appointment. You will be charged 100% of the session fee should you miss your appointment without proper notification. No adjustment in fee or treatment time will be made if you are late, and regular times cannot be held for patients who repeatedly cancel their scheduled appointments.

Payment and Insurance

Payment for service is expected at the time services are rendered. Payment may be made by personal check or credit card. Credit cards will be charged bi- weekly for sessions.

We are happy to help patients in filling out forms and providing documentation for insurance reimbursement; however, we do not accept direct payment from insurance companies.

About Us

The Reading and Language Learning Center is a private speech therapy practice treating children and adults with speech, language and reading disorders. We are conveniently located in Vienna, Virginia, with a second location in Washington, D.C. Our services include 1:1 therapy, group therapy, and play/social skills groups.

Founded in 2002 as a center for the treatment of dyslexia and language deficits in children and adults, we are also engaged in clinical program development in the areas of phonemic awareness and higher level reading for middle and high school students.

The RLLC therapists have more than 40 years combined experience working in the field as Speech-Language Pathologists. RLLC employs only Master’s Degree level Speech Language Pathologists who are fully licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia and who hold or are working toward the Certificate of Clinical Competence. We ensure a high quality of treatment and customer satisfaction.
